What are you looking for in online hotel bookings?

What do online travel site not offer that they should? There are so many places online to book your stay at, what sets them all apart??

1. I'd like to see more "real" information on the hotels and their location and prices. I want to see pictures of the hotel (and not from weird angles that are obviously meant to flatter the hotels. Often the prices are hidden or not available (only a rating system). I'd also like to see real street addresses and phone numbers so I can contact the hotels directly (or at least map them on my preferred map providers).
2. What sets them apart is the outlay of the information, price,
   
   stars (just a few tell you how many stars their hotels have) ,
   
   the proximity to city center is usually something they lack. They do say its a 5 minutes walk for instance, but that is either a lie or
   
   exaggeration or I wonder who calculates the minutes.
   
   I would go back always to those sites that I know for sure the reservation is valid, no hassle upon arrival etc. what was promised I got. For me the more information the better I can chose, some sites do have it some do not.
